What makes our luxury flavored teas stand out from the rest? Premium leaf: The base tea for all our flavoured black tea comes from high mountain estates in central Sri Lanka which have tested as high polyphenol antioxidant tea. These estates may not be organic but they are the next best thing; they do not use pesticides. Natural fertilizers are used to improve quality and increase yield which in turn provides sustainable and predictable job security for estate workers. Flavoring: Pure flavouring oils with no chemical residue or aftertaste. Ethical Production: Many tea manufactures use inferior leaf from questionable sources to make flavoured teas. The belief is that flavouring will mask the character of poor tea. Our teas are sourced from premium ETP certified estates and our chemical free process means they taste great and are good for the Earth at the same time.

ETHICAL TEA PARTNERSHIP
All of our Naturally Flavored Black Teas are purchased from estates monitored by the Ethical Tea Partnership.
Drinking tea is a global pleasure but behind each cup lies a much larger picture - the lives and livelihoods of million of people in the developing world. The ETP works to make this transparent. The organization monitors the living and working conditions on estates to ensure that every cup of tea you drink has been produced in a socially responsible manner.

HEALTH TIP
Drinking tea may aid in weight loss. In recent years, the anti-obesity and hypolipidaemic effects of black tea have attracted increasing interest, although the exact reasons behind the phenomena remain unclear. In a recent study, researchers found that theaflavins present in tea significantly reduced lipid accumulation, suppressed fatty acid synthesis and stimulated fatty acid oxidation, factors that appear to help prevent obesity and related liver damage.
